Glenn Buratti, a 6-year-old mildly autistic/epileptic boy from Osceola County, Florida had a birthday party earlier this month that nobody showed up to.
“I know this might be something silly to rant about, but my heart is breaking for my son. We invited his whole class (16 kids) over for his 6th birthday party today. Not one kid came,” Ashlee, his mother, posted on a local Facebook group.
After reading this post, 15 parents brought their children to his party. And they weren’t the only ones to show up…
Local firefighters and police officers from the community also came over.
And they brought presents!
Awesome people from the Sheriff’s Office and Osceola County Fire Rescue gave Glenn the party of a lifetime.
“I’m sure the neighbors were peeking out of their windows or taking cover,” Glenn’s father John posted on Facebook.
“Such an amazing thing for our local law enforcement and fire fighters to do for us,” he wrote.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s department even flew a helicopter over the party scene low enough for the Pilot to wave at Glenn.
Facebook and the amazing community of Osceola County has restored our faith in humanity!
